Fantastic ski holiday base

We have just returned from a week skiing in Morzine, and I can honestly say that staying at the Beau Regard made our holiday. The hotel is a real gem, and Claire and the staff are brilliant. The food was excellent and the rooms were spacious, well fitted and spotlessly clean. Claire was so welcoming, and really seemed to care about her guests, which made the stay very special. We would definitely stay here again!! Many thanks

Cheerful and friendly

Nice little hotel, bit tired. Run by a family, sometimes feels like your imposing on their home. Rooms are basic, we had a double room which was spacious, other room was twin which seemed very small. Boot rooms for skii's etc which is useful.

Great value for a hotel in a fantastic location

Just came back from a weeks ski holiday and stayed at the Beau Regard. The hotel is in a great but quite position with fantastic views, just a short walk across the footbridge to the centre of Morzine and the gondola lifts. The rooms are not huge but big enough and spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and made you feel welcome.
We stayed half board and although there was no choice for the evening meal
the food was great. Also a wide choice for breakfast. There were 6 of us and everyone was more than happy with our stay. If i return to Morzine i would be more than happy to stay at the Beau Regard again

Amazing little hotel for the price paid

For the price we paid I was not expecting much. I had read a mix of reviews and was happy to take the chance. I am so glad we did. Here's why:

Super friendly owner and staff
Spotless bedrooms and bathrooms
Amazing shower pressure and lots of hot water
English TV channels (BBC1, 2 and CBeebies) in bedroom
Free wifi in bedrooms
Balcony with table and chairs
Great selection of food for breakfast - fresh bread and croissant, eggs, hot 'english' selection of beans, sausage and scrambled egg, fruit (fresh and tinned), yoghurt, cereal, choice of juices, jams and teas and coffee.
Storage, hooks and lights in bedrooms
Comfy beds and covers (no duvets old school blanket and sheets), but they remake everyday.

Some folk on here complain of lack of curtains. Ever window has shutters!! Simply close them for the darkest room going. The communal areas are a little dated, but this adds to the charm of the hotel.

Some folk complain about the walk to the lift - it's literally 5 mins in ski boots and is the perfect warm up/stretch down - or there is a bus stop just outside.

The delightful owner even made us a packed lunch for our early flight.

I would definitely stay here again.

Ski holiday

This hotel is a gem, with a great owner, Claire, and her wonderful staff really looking after you!!
The welcome you get on arrival is very personal, and quite charming, and is a real change from some larger hotels.
The hotel is well placed close to the super morzine lift into Avoriaz (5 minute walk in ski boots). All communal areas are very clean and homely, and the room I stayed in (309) on the first floor was very spacious and well appointed, compared to other ski resort hotels I've seen before, and was really warm throughout the stay. The food at the hotel was extremely good, even with a fixed menu, which was all well prepared and presented, with good portions, and great desserts... All of the staff are great, and are happy to chat, whilst taking care of all your needs. Claire runs a tab at the bar and in the restaurant through the week, so you don't have to worry about cash, and the prices are very good indeed! If I go back to Morzine, I will not even look at other hotels. Merci pour cet agréable séjour

Fantastic Hotel

Thank you to Claire/Joseph and all their fantastic staff

Great hotel in Morzine with excellent, well mannered, helpful, friendly staff. Claire (proprietor) is an absolute star! Very welcoming and friendly, made us feel completely at home. No need to panic if it's your first time in Morzine, Claire knows everything there is to know about Morzine and the surrounding area (good discount on ski hire). Great room (330) with a view of the town and mountains. Good Wifi. Location is perfect, a short walk (5/10 mins) over the bridge takes you straight into the town centre. Breakfast is perfect, all you need to start your day. We stayed half-board. Not one complaint to make about dinner. 4 courses every night, good quality, well presented, tasty food, top marks to Joseph the chef. Great mix of guests, families, couples and groups (young and old). Beau Regard is value for money at it's best! I honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else in Morzine after staying here. Thank you so much Claire, Joseph and all the staff at Beau Regard for a fantastic stay....We'll definitely be back!!! 🙂

Ski trip with family

Stayed 7 nights at nice family hotel with half-board. We had a double room with view on steep mountain. Breakfast is served from 7:30 and is ok but not luxury. Dinner in the evening can be chosen in the morning, mostly local cuisine. Drinks in the bar are expensive, so we did some shopping in the village.
Ski-bus is next to hotel, or you can walk about 300 meters to the first ski lift. Ported du soleil is a nice area to ski although we had bad wetter at the time we stayed.

Great value for money

Stayed here for a week over Christmas 2012 four our first ski holiday. Location 5 minute walk to Super Morzine lift to take you to Avoriaz or 10 minutes walk to the Pleney lift in ski boots. Obviously not the closest to the lifts but not too far away either. Not being in the centre of town meant that it was a nice, quiet location.

Rooms - Although being a couple we were allocated a "family" room on the third floor comprising of one double bed in its own room with a walk in wardrobe, through to another room with 3 single beds and a TV, toilet was separate to the bathroom. It is advertised as only having wifi in the lounge on the ground floor but we were able to get a good signal in our room. Rooms were cleaned daily and had plenty of hot water.
Food- 4 course meal every night comprising of starter, main, cheese course and desert. It is a set menu but the menu is displayed outside the restaurant every morning. Food was very nice and portion sizes good. I didn't like the main course one night and was offered an omelette with salad in its place. Breakfast is a self service buffet consisting of a selection of cold meats, cheeses, cereal, bread, pastries and boiled eggs, tea, coffee, juices ect.

Staff were always very friendly. Madame Claire the hotelier spoke fantastic english and was always very friendly.
The hotel has a small swimming pool, sauna and table football and table tennis but we didn't have time to use these facilities.

We had no problems at all during our stay. Should we go back to Morzine we would definitely stay here again.

Great Find

Just returned from a week skiing & staying at the Beau Regard. Madame Claire (what a character !!) & her team are 2nd to none. Nothing was too much trouble. We were well looked after during our stay. Food was excellent (depending on your taste of course!). Rooms were great, plenty of hot water & clean & comfy beds. Great access to the slopes either by short bus ride - bus stop across the road from hotel, or short walk across the bridge to the the Super Morzine bubble. Would recommend the Beau Regard & hope to visit again ourselves.

Highly recommended

Fantastic. Our room was spacious, clean, traditionally decorated with a fantasic view to the Morzine slopes. The owner Madame Claire was amazing, friendly, welcoming and very entertaining- the perfect hostess. The rest of the team were also brilliant, whatever time of the day they always said hello and made you feel really welcome. Food was amazing, tasty and plenty of it and the location was perfect just a short walk over the bridge to the lifts. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Clean, friendly hotel, great food

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Beau Regard. We stayed half board and it is fantastic value.
Food - restaurant quality and perfectly presented. 4 course meals, usually starter, main course, cheese board and sweet. Typical meals were salmon, roast beef, veal escalopes etc. One night was a raclette - grilled cheese on an enormous barbecue followed by flaming crepes suzettes. There is no choice of meal - this may not suit everyone and I would not recommend it to finicky eaters but if you like most things then you won't have a problem - we loved the food!
Rooms - spotlessly clean. We had rooms with balconies. Rooms are pine clad (floor and walls), We had balconies and new bathrooms. Rooms have net curtains and wooden shutters.
Location - well located just five mins from the Super Morzine lift and about 7 from the town. fairly flat walk. If you google it, it will suggest it is farther away simply because by road it is longer but walking takes you on a flat walk across the "wibbly wobbly bridge" straight to the lift.
Facilities - spotlessly clean swimming pool, sauna, gym, table tennis, table football etc. Several lounges so you can get some privacy for group if you want. Bar is not staffed all the time - just ring the bell for service.
Friendliness - very friendly owner - Claire - is very exuberant and makes sure she knows all guests. Regularly checks that all is well.
This is a 2 star hotel so don't expect the Ritz - but what you do get is a lovely traditional hotel with friendly owners in a great location and superb value for money.

A real gem

We stayed for two nights at the Beauregard. Our room, though basic, was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was good, dinner was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great, far enough from the main town centre but only a few minutes walk away over the bridge. Very good value for money - we would definitely return.

Wonderfully friendly and very comfortable

What a fabulous find, just a short walk from the super-morzine lift, super friendly, with an indoor / outdoor pool with sun loungers. We booked last minute and got an amazing deal. Madame Claire cannot do enough to help you. We had a simple room with a little balcony, great view, nice shower and wonderful short bath with plenty of hot water for relaxing after a day's hiking.

This hotel participates in the summer multi-pass programme so for just EUR1 per day (yes, that's a 1, and not a typo) you can access many ski lifts, buses and other activities.

A great place for hiking or just moseying in summer. Highly recommended. We will be returning.
